Breast cancer management is all about a good team offering a comprehensive service. Mr Chakravorty has a very experienced team of Radiologists, Oncologists, Pathologists and Specialist nurses who not only provide expert opinion but also facilitate management with fast track processes so that the patients do not have to wait while they are going through this difficult journey.

Patients following their successful treatment are closely looked after by both the surgeons and the oncologists. They are followed up in the surgical clinics and have annual mammograms for five years. However, occasionally when patients are on extended treatment then they are followed up for a longer period of time.

Breast cancer outcomes are getting better with early diagnosis and multimodality treatment options. Anyone diagnosed with breast cancer are discussed in the multi-disciplinary team meetings and a comprehensive care is provided by the joint team approach. Multidisciplinary approach is one of the reasons for successful outcomes with significant decrease in mortality which has been established and demonstrated in the published studies. Oncoplastic breast surgery has also helped to achieve better cosmetic outcomes following breast cancer surgery and this is now part of his established practice.
